Article Abstract

Because this piece does not have an abstract, we have provided for your benefit the first 3 sentences of the full text.

Sir: Little is known about the use of bupropion during breastfeeding. Published data are restricted to 3 case reports of 1 toddler1 and 2 infants2 exposed to bupropion through breast milk. No adverse effects were reported, with the exception that Briggs and colleagues1 reported a high milk-to-maternal plasma ratio. Neither bupropion nor its metabolites were quantifiable in the infants’ or the toddler’s plasma1,2.
