Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection is associated with a wide range of mental illnesses.1-9 Some are due to HIV infection itself; others are higher in prevalence than among the general population due to a more frequent comorbidity associated with HIV risk factors. Psychosis is one that has been less frequently studied.’ ‹
