Article Abstract

Because this piece does not have an abstract, we have provided for your benefit the first 3 sentences of the full text.

Sir: Clozapine has long been viewed as the gold standard used for schizophrenia patients refractory to treatment with typical and atypical antipsychotics. Although clozapine is highly effective, a number of patients are also treatment refractory or only partially responsive to clozapine. For these patients, augmentation strategies can be considered after a careful evaluation of risk versus benefit to avoid potential drug interactions.’ ‹
