Article Abstract

From our regular book review column.

I approached the review of this book with considerable trepidation. Jointly authored textbooks tend to be overly inclusive, conceptually disjointed, and editorially inconsistent. Reviewing a textbook devoted entirely to the study of suicide portended a difficult, laborious task, particularly since I am not a suicidologist.
