Sir: We had made the following points in an earlier letter¹published in Diabetes Care, in which the Consensus Conferencereport was initially published.² In the same spirit that thereport was reproduced in The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, itwould be useful to reprint our letter, with minor modificationsas suggested by the reviewers, in this journal, as it is read morewidely by psychiatrists than is Diabetes Care.
