Sir: Primary attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is generally believed to be a disorder of adrenergic and dopaminergic neurotransmission, but there are also secondary forms of ADHD, for example, in patients with epilepsy or Tourette’s disorder.

We report on an adult patient who presented with classical primary ADHD symptoms that began in early childhood in association with moderate dyslexia. Treatment with psychostimulant medication did not yield positive effects, and even worsened the patient’s impulsivity and irritability.’ ‹’ ‹’ ‹
