It’s a noble goal to practice evidence-based psychiatry. The problem is that evidence-based psychiatry is only as good as the evidence. There are some areas in which we have astoundingly little evidence, and other areas in which the evidence we have too often fails to serve the patients that we need to treat. As a field, we know too little about both the impact of the disorders we treat and their treatments in pregnancy.’ ‹
