Sir: Hypertriglyceridemia and weight gain are welldocumented side effects associated with olanzapine therapy.1 Thus, it has become important to monitor weight and lipid profile including triglycerides in patients taking olanzapine or any other atypical antipsychotic. A total cholesterol level is made up of very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and high-density lipoprotein (HDL).’ ‹
