Sir: It has been suggested that lithium may be effective inthe general treatment of impulsive aggression,1 and quite a bitof literature has demonstrated an association of decreased suicidalbehavior with lithium treatment.2 Although there havebeen some negative studies,3,4 several studies have suggested anassociation of lower lithium consumption with impulsive andaggressive behavior in humans.’ ‹
