Sir: McElroy et al.1 recently conducted an interesting and complete review about the relationship between mood disorders and obesity. The authors highlighted the epidemiologic and pathophysiologic links between obesity, depression, and bipolar disorder, especially in obese patients seeking weight loss treatment.
