Sir: The incidence of sexual dysfunction with antidepressantdrugs varies from a low of 1.9% to a high of 91%.1 Such dysfunctionsare believed to result from interactions with various neurotransmittersystems. One of the most dramatic and potentiallydisabling is priapism, which is a prolonged, dysfunctional penileerection that is painful and impairs sexual desire.
