Article Abstract

Sir: Serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SRIs) offer the most effective pharmacologic treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Since few patients have a complete response, there is a compelling need for augmentation strategies. We initiated a pilot study to evaluate whether gabapentin might be a useful augmenting agent in a group of patients with OCD (Corá- Locatelli G, Greenberg BD, Martin JD, et al. 1997. Unpublished data).
