Letter to the Editor

Sir: We thank Drs. Townes and Swartz for their letter regarding our paper. We wish to respond to the important issues they raised.

First, Townes and Swartz assert that our patient population on lithium treatment must have been lithium-resistant because they received antipsychotics and benzodiazepines.
