Article Abstract

From our regular book review column.

This outstanding book grew out of the editors’ concern that a specialized volume was needed to integrate the major aspects of current knowledge in substance abuse given public and governmental focus on its impact on health, quality of life, and economic productivity of the young. The scope of this ambitious volume is well met by the excellent panel of contributors who have provided the most comprehensive text in the addictions.
