Patients with major depressive disorder commonly experience fatigue and cognitive/executivedysfunction. These problems may be symptoms of the depression and persist despite effective antidepressanttreatment, or these problems may emerge as adverse effects of some antidepressanttreatments. A number of augmentation strategies can be employed to manage fatigue or cognitive/executive dysfunction, but the efficacy of these augmentation strategies must be researched further.
