Sir: In their recent (January 2005) article,¹ Kelly and Conleyreport on a relatively underappreciated side effect of certainatypical antipsychotics. Although effects of certain psychotropics,such as lithium, on thyroid hormones have been extensivelystudied, the effects of atypical antipsychotics meritfurther attention.
