Sir: While urinary hesitancy or retention is a well-knownside effect of those first-generation antipsychotics that havesignificant anticholinergic properties, it is rare with secondgenerationantipsychotics. Occasional cases have been reportedfor risperidone,¹ quetiapine,² and, more recently, olanzapine³and ziprasidone.^4,5 Here we report another case of urinary retentionassociated with use of ziprasidone and briefly discuss thisrare side effect.’ ‹
