By highlighting issues from presentations he delivered in the 1980s, Dr. Rosenbaum provided an overview of benzodiazepine use. He stated that benzodiazepines were and still are widely used and offer symptomatic relief for some of humankind’s most prevalent and distressing conditions. One thing that has changed, Dr. Rosenbaum commented, is pharmacologic alternatives.
