It has been estimated that more than 50 million Americans experiencesome type of disorder of sleep. Despite this staggering statistic and the experts declarations that sleep is vital to health and quality oflife, sleep-disordered individuals rarely present with straightforwardstories leading to accurate diagnosis and treatment.2 It can sometimesbe difficult to differentiate between fatigue and sleepiness. Insomnia isthe most common sleep disorder diagnosis3; however, sleep may be influencedby a multitude of physical, environmental, and psychologicalfactors.
